European Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators
European Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) is a cooperation between all member states in the EU. ACERs goal is “working towards a single energy market to the benefit of all EU consumers”.
Council of European Energy Regulators
Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) is a not-for-profit association which brings together the independent national energy regulators from the Member States of the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA). CEER aims to facilitate the creation of a single, competitive, efficient and sustainable EU internal energy market.
The Directorate-General for Energy
The Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER) is a European commission department. DG ENER is responsible for the EU’s energy policy: secure, sustainable, and competitively priced energy for Europe.
European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity
The European Network Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) represents 43 transmission system operators (TSO) in Europe. The members of ENTSO-E share the objective of setting up a well-functioning internal energy market and supporting the European energy and climate agenda. The Nordic TSOs cooperate through ENTSO-E.
Nordic co-operation
The official Nordic co-operation is channeled through two organisations: the Nordic Council and the Nordic Council of Ministers.
Nordic Energy Research
Nordic Energy Research is the platform for cooperative energy research and analysis under the Nordic Council of Ministers. The vision of Nordic Energy Research is to create the knowledge basis for the Nordic countries to become global leaders in smart energy. By providing knowledge for decision making and societal entities, and for the creation of new sustainable goods, services and processes. The main areas of research are Nordic energy system studies, active end users, regional grids and clean energy for electricity heating and transport.
